Who is affected and who will be exempt from paying VAT in 2022?

The value added tax (VAT) on e-commerce (including online advertising sites, dating sites, sex partner sites) has changed uniformly in the countries of the European Union, so the Red-Life advertising site is already affected, as we operate our sites as an EU company! In short, this means that all online advertising sites are now required to add VAT to the price of their services and send the VAT collected to the countries where we sold it. This system is called OSS or One Shop Stop and you can find the official EU website in English here.

As an example, if you specify Germany as your billing country and pay us from Germany, we will need to add 19% German VAT and send the collected VAT amounts to Germany. The same applies to Hungary and all other EU member states.

VAT is not a price increase and it is not our revenue, it enriches the budget of your country.

The One Shop Stop system is a uniform EU regulation, the essence of which is that

we sell the service to another EU country (in our case, this also applies to credit top-ups and ad highlighting), then the country's own VAT rules apply. There is no loophole, no solution and no tricks and it applies to every country and company, however

you do not have to pay VAT in the following cases:

  1. If you pay from an EU company with a Community tax number! In this case, when uploading the credit, enter your tax number in EU form (example: DE00000000) and we will check your tax number automatically in VIES, so if valid, 0% VAT will be charged. Payment must be made from the account number or card provided by your company.
  2. If you pay with a company outside the European Union, so you pay from a company in England, for example! In this case, enter the tax number and details of your company when you upload credit and you can pay with 0% VAT! Payment must be made from the account number or card provided by your company.
  3. If you pay as an individual from a country outside the European Union, for example, you pay from Switzerland, England, USA! In this case, enter your name and exact address when topping up your credit and you can pay with 0% VAT! Payment must be made from a bank account number or card in the country specified.

Solutions - how to avoid paying VAT:

  • If you live close to the Swiss border (Austria, Germany, etc.), you can simply transfer money to our company's account number via a Swiss post office, OR you can open a Swiss account number at any bank, so you can pay 0% VAT, without travelling there. You must of course enter a Swiss address for your billing information!
  • The same applies to the use of prepaid Visa cards operating in non-EU countries (England, USA, etc.). Many are already familiar with Transferwise’s London-based online money transfer company. You can transfer money in the same way as if you were making it from your own bank, but the transaction will come to us from England so it will be VAT free! For your billing information, of course you need to enter an English address!
  • Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency payment that we have been using for years. To top up your credit, click on the Bitcoin Payment tab and you will receive our bitcoin address where you can send it. There are already bitcoin vending machines in almost every country where you can easily send bitcoin using your cash or card.
