Texas high school kids asked by their teacher to role-play as 'seducing hooker'
For months, an American mother has been fighting the high school where a teacher asked her 13-year-old daughter and her classmates to play an
erotic job game, in which students pretend to be seductive sexworkers.
One mother was outraged when her daughter told her about the unpleasant school play where their teacher asked them to role-play prostitution.
In the school game, the teacher asked the seventh-grade girls to play a role-playing game called
Bear-Hooker-Hunter. In essence, the teacher asked the young girls to seduce them, in exactly the same way as a person work an erotic job enchants their client.
The rules of the game are similar to the well-known game called rock-paper-scissors, in which, for example, the hunter can shoot the bear and the prostitute can seduce the hunter.

Within the context of the activity, Gruber explained that her daughter and fellow seventh-grade students from the Social Emotional Learning class at KIPP Poder Academy were required to team up and position themselves at the front of the room.
Afterwards, the children were instructed to strike various poses, such as a hunter mimicking pointing a gun, a menacing bear raising its paws, or as a "
seducing hooker," with one hand on the hip and the other behind the ear.

Laura Maria Gruber's daughter brought up the incident on their way home from school, in the car.
We played this game at school, Mom, and you’re going to be upset
- she said. And indeed, according to Laura, she almost crashed the car.
Laura Maria Gruber has since taken her daughter out of the institution, where since then no meaningful explanation has been given for the game intended for seventh graders. The incident happened last September, and according to Gruber the school kept quiet about it for months.
The mother said on her social media page that
the school normalizes weapons, prostitution and sexual violence by playing such a game with minors.
The school has issued an answer about the adult work game
Because of the unresolved case, the mother has already turned to the institution's board of directors. As a result of her complaint, months later,
the school's principal admitted in a letter to parents that the game was indeed inappropriate for the students.
Principal Stephanie Lee stated that the goal was not to sexualize the children with the game, but she admits that some students may have felt uncomfortable and traumatized by the task.
He also agreed that the words prostitute and seduction have no place in a school environment.
