Leah, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, said:
I work as a stripper and wear them for hours and eventually, they begin to stink.
"It's a huge expense - to keep buying these shoes," continued the erotic dancer.
When she realized that there were people who were actually looking for dirty, smelly shoes, she started selling them.
I don't make thousands from it but why spend money on new shoes when you can get them for free, with a bit extra too?
She hadn't thought about it before, but now she considered how many shoes she'd thrown away during the past seven years while doing her
erotic job.
Leah first realized there might be a market for smelly old shoes after uploading some casual clothes to Vinted a year ago.
She started getting messages asking if she had shoes for sale
Then it became clear that there was a demand for it, and she took it upon herself to start selling her stripping shoes.
Since she has only sold a few pairs so far, in each case it only took a few hours before the interested parties started showing up.
She says people ask her how many times she's worn them – because to them, the stinkier the shoes are, the more attractive it is.
One man who recently inquired about a pair for sale asked if she could stick a piece of chewing gum and a cigarette butt to the bottom.
He said,
"He said he wanted to chew the gum."
I told him he would have to pay an extra €50 for it and left him a note saying 'eat your dinner'.
While she only occasionally sells her old high heels, she has a deal with a man who likes used trainers.
When Leah needs a new pair, he pays for them – in exchange for sending him her old pair, sweated through during her
tabledance job.
She said:
I just have to promise I don't wash them.
He says he has the better end of the deal, but Leah isn't complaining either.
